“To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Tracy Fitzgerald. I help stressed people manage their wellness using Indian head massage and Reiki. I have a treatment room in Castlebar and at no extra cost, I offer a home visit service covering a 30 mile radius from Castlebar.
In May 2013, I engaged the services of fellow BNI member Sarah Flood of Snap Mayo to design and print business cards and letterhead. It was not long after joining St. Colman’s BNI chapter and I was giving out a lot of business cards.
After 18 months in business, I wanted to move on from the standard Vistaprint templates and create my own unique brand.
I couldn’t have chosen a better person to design a brand for me. Traditionally, I have chosen purple for my business. Sarah’s design was an eye-catching blue and white, with a lovely butterfly that looks like it could fly off the page. The design is sleek and simple and Sarah has a fantastic eye for detail. When listing my list of services, she used butterflies as bullet points.
Sarah is professional and creative and I have no hesitation in recommending her services to friends and fellow business people.
I look forward to working with Sarah in the future as I brand my business further.
Kind regards,
Tracy Fitzgerald”

“I worked with John and his team recently.
‘Yes we can’ must be the unofficial company motto at Snap – we had a very tight deadline and this was our first high level inter-company meeting since our official re-brand on May 1st.
Despite the challenging turnaround times, all of the meeting collateral – pens, placemats, banners, tent cards, lanyards, agendas, and notepads were produced to the highest standard.
When I arrived at the meeting venue to set up, the Concierge met me and confirmed that ‘your large delivery from Snap has already arrived and is waiting for you in your meeting room’.
All of the team was professional and enthusiastic, upbeat at all times even when under pressure and it was a pleasure to work with them.

COMPANY NAME:
Youthwork Ireland
DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
To create multiple deliverables for their ongoing campaign and fundraising events throughout the year. Snap was simply supplied with a logo and some photos from which the client wanted us to create materials that showed the energy they bring to their company and the positive effect that their work with young people can have.
HOW DID WE DELIVER GREAT CLIENT SERVICE:
We wanted to keep the focus on the brand’s colours in these pieces. We felt that the vibrant colours would be a good representation of the positive attitude that the organisation has but we also wanted the design to be clean and structured to show that Youthwork Ireland are a well established, professional agency and to try and encourage do
nations to the organisation.
The client also wanted the pieces to appeal to young people too and tell them why they should get involved so we introduced some rough type and the tagline “Be Part of It” to try and achieve this. We also made good use of the photos to show the amount of activities that the company is involved in.

COMPANY NAME:
The Dun Laoghaire – Rathdown Bay 10k
DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
Snap Dún Laoghaire has been involved with this event from its inception. We have worked with the client from the initial naming and branding through to new marketing concepts for this years event (and hopefully beyond). We have worked directly with the customer as well as liaising with Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Dart and local businesses involved in the project.
They wanted: Design of all printed/published material in the run up to, and during, the event, including: Advertisements, booking form, ‘Adshel’ posters, flyers, official badges, signage, programmes, pull-up banners, presentation folders and t-shirts. Concept of any copy used in adverts/posters and t-shirts.
HOW DID WE DELIVERY GREAT CLIENT SERVICE:
After the race was over, our client wanted to continue the poster theme and promote the 2013 race. Snap’s idea was to use ‘The Gathering’ as a hook for coming to Dun Laoghaire to participate in the next race. Again, this was achieved using the established copy and cut-out image idea. The ‘Aeroplane’ version was aimed at an international field and the ‘Postcard’ version directed at a more national level.
The seaside attraction of the area was used as part of the “Wish You Were Here” tagline and showed images of last year’s race.
Finally, the T-Shirt design was based on the popular phrase “Been there, Done that, Worn the T-Shirt” but twisting the copy slightly to incorporate something that could become synonymous with the race in future years and was also relevant to the achievement of completing the race.

COMPANY NAME:
Eolas Technology
DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
Eolas Technology had recently updated their logo and website and wanted to incorporate their new visual identity into their print work.
ABOUT EOLAS TECHNOLOGY:
Eolas Technologies is an Irish owned and operated IT Managed Services company. They
support SME companies providing options from remote monitoring, outsourced service desk, design, implementation and support of mission critical ICT infrastructure as well as a suite of cloud based services.
HOW WE DELIVERED GREAT CLIENT SERVICE:
After a design consultation with Snap, it was agreed to go with an iPad type layout for their new brochure. This was decided on for a number of reasons. It was felt that the design style helped re-enforce the company’s attitude towards embracing new technology. Also, the layout would be unique and eye-catching for presentations and as the finished tri-fold brochure would be printed on a heavy stock, it could act as a free-standing piece and encourage people to pick it up. The tri-fold brochure also suited the project as it was to be used as an introductory piece so it would be relatively light on information.
The design of the brochure does reflect both the look of an iPad and a number of other web elements such as large rounded buttons for headings and app like graphics re-enforcing the connection to the Eolas Technology website.
The colours used in the brochure were pre-determined by the client’s logo. The challenge here was to strike a balance between the black of the iPad and the orange of the logo without the design becoming too jarring or off-putting.
Also, the circuitry image used throughout the background is another nod to the customer’s technology-based industry as well as tying to the other web elements. It was felt that the circles and rounded lines tied in nicely with the look of the logo. However, this was used sparingly as a background image as it was thought it could affect the legibility of the text if it was over-used.
WHAT DID THE CLIENT THINK?
In the end, the customer was very happy with the finished piece and they have been receiving positive feedback on it over the past few months. The finished tri-fold brochure was printed full colour on 250 GSM matt stock and then scored and folded to its finished iPad appearance.
